I'm Đỗ Gia Khánh, a 12th-grade student with a genuine curiosity for economics. It's the logic behind nearly every decision in the world, yet rarely taught in a way that makes people actually understand it.

What led me to start Ekonomics Lab was a pattern I kept noticing among students in Vietnam. In 2025, the Ministry of Education and Training reported that more than 21% of university entrants nationwide, over 146,000 students, enrolled in Business & Management, by far the most chosen field of study. A separate survey of nearly 9,200 students across universities in Hanoi found that almost 20% had no clear career direction when they enrolled, and more than a third were unsure about their major or wanted to switch it. Too often, business, finance, and economics become the default choice for students who simply don't know what else to pick, not a field they've actually explored or come to understand.

Ekonomics Lab exists to change that. It gives students a way to access research on the topics they're genuinely curious about, and to build the skills that come with doing real research: searching for credible information, questioning it critically, and thinking through it with some creativity of their own. It's a space where students research on their own terms, write real essays instead of just reading textbooks, and discover for themselves what makes economics, finance, and business worth caring about, before they have to commit to a major.
